What is 360° photography?

360° photography is a technique that creates a panoramic effect used to capture the surrounding environment in a single image.

360° photography is also known by other terms such as 360° panoramic photography, virtual reality photography, 360° virtual tours and 360° spherical photography. All of these terms refer to displaying an environment at multiple angles.
There are specific photography and editing programs that are used to create a 360° photograph. 360° photography works in a way that the images are stitched together using post production editing. This takes a significant amount of time because of the significant amount of editing and precision required. The end result allows the viewer to be able to move the image around and zoom in on the image, creating a virtual tour of the photo.
